Job Description

Due to continued growth and expansion of our Water Business in the Northeast, we are seeking a Northeast Region Market Sector Leader who is an industry-recognized leader, has strong client relationships and will be an integral part of the regions’ ever-expanding Water business. As Regional Market Leader, the primary responsibility will be to lead and grow the Water Sector business in the region. You will work collaboratively with our General Manager, Regional Operations Leader and Regional Business Development Leader to design and execute a strategy to increase GHD’s market share of private & public sector clients across the Region.
Primary responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Assist in critical Northeast Water business development initiatives
  • Ensure a coordinated approach to maintaining client management systems, capturing regular contact and meetings with key clients
  • Manage GHD’s client contact plan for key project positioning efforts
  • Manage project capture plans, coordination of proposal preparation and activities
  • Client relationship management for all active projects
  • Provide support on water project opportunities across the Northeast
  • Participation at client functions, social events and conferences in networking with existing and emerging client contacts 
  • Promote corporate participation at technical conferences and provide senior guidance and review for key technical conference papers generation

For success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Wastewater Process Engineering, Water Resources or similar technical field
  • Minimum 12+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of direct leadership
  • Professional licensure a plus but not required (i.e. PE or PG)
  • Experienced in strategic business development, client relationships and driving sales revenue
  • A strong technical background and experience in resourcing, leading and delivering projects is beneficial for this role
  • Proven track record in project execution and marketing in the Northeast region
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time
  • Excellent relationship management skills and a real passion for developing people
  • Strong focus on client service
