As a college that exists to change lives, build futures, and improve communities through higher learning, Rhodes State College seeks to become the College of choice in west-central Ohio.

Rhodes State College is a public, state-assisted institution of higher learning which is chartered to provide degree granting career education programs, non-credit workforce development, and consulting for business and industry. The college prepares students for entry into careers, develops the regional workforce through credit and non-credit occupational training, and offers curricular programs that prepare students for transfer completion baccalaureate programs at selected colleges and universities. With nearly 3,700 students, the college’s core institutional values of integrity, caring, responsibility, respect, and quality guide its policies and practices.

Rhodes State is one of the fastest growing institutions in Ohio. We are proud of our distinguished reputation among Ohio’s two year institutions – a reputation built upon a history of changing lives, building futures and improving communities. Through our 2009-2012 Strategic Plan, we will continue to meet the needs of our diverse student body and affirm our commitment to a spirit of innovation and excellence.

Our students have every opportunity to succeed as we offer a full range of credit and non-credit courses and career training options. Within the College, there are over 100 programs, majors and certificates offered. With the newest addition of the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, you can also transfer many of the courses that you take at Rhodes to four-year colleges and universities in Ohio. The business and industry training division of the College offers seminars and classes for individuals interested in obtaining work-related skills.

Over the next three years, we plan to develop new program offerings for high demand employment areas; expand partnerships with business and industry; reshape programs, scheduling and delivery options to increase access and expedite time to educational goal attainment for students; and improve facilities and technology to satisfy the changing needs of our stakeholders.

Being part of a thriving campus community is an essential part of the college experience. That’s why Rhodes State offers an array of extracurricular activities — so you can get involved and meet other students who share your interests.

By participating in outside-the-classroom activities at Rhodes, you’ll have fun, make new friends who share your interests, and expand your horizons. Rhodes State offers an array of extracurricular activities each year, including cultural programs, intramural and recreational sports, social programs, and student clubs and organizations.

The Campus is located on 545 acres, 3 miles east of Lima. Rhodes State College is easily accessible via North & South by Interstate 75 and East & West by SR 309 & 81. Classroom and laboratory space, comprising a total of 359,000 square feet, is available to sustain current programs in technical and continuing education.
